Adam Witherington played a stonking round on tined and sanded greens to post a fantastic 45 points to win the Swindle from Simon Cook (on a count-back from Phil Hames).

There were three matches in the Bain Bowl with Phil Hames, Andy Vittery and Colin Reardon proceeding to the next round at the expense of Roger Keen, Bryn Owen and Kevin Poore.
